Trick or Truth?

…Your Word is truth. John 17:17

It’s that time of year. Fall is here and kids are planning their costumes and thinking about what kind of candy they’ll get this year. The crispness of the new season is in the air and I love it!

With all of that in mind, we have been taking the month of October for the past couple of years and giving it the theme of Trick or Truth. It’s a great way to explain what Crosscheck It is and how it works. 

It’s a simple way to keep in mind that we should be Crosschecking everything. Trick or Truth?

We have entered into a period of time where we are in a war for truth. 

We must stand on the truth and stand for the truth.  The only way to get there is to do the work. 

Crosscheck it against God’s Word.

Crosscheck it against what Jesus accomplished on the cross.

Crosscheck it against God’s character. 

If it doesn’t line up then you know it’s a trick and it’s time to get it out of your way!! If it does line up, move forward with confidence and boldness! 

So think through whatever it is you are facing today. Is it a trick or is it the truth? Crosscheck It!
